Marmaris is one of the easiest places on the Aegean coast to holiday with children: a calm, shallow bay with barely a wave, a flat seafront promenade stretching for kilometres, two big waterparks, and an evening kordon where kids can run free. Family Beaches with Shallow Water

Because Marmaris bay is a natural harbour, the sea is usually calm and deepens gently — ideal for small children. Uzunyalı Beach in the town centre is the most practical choice, with cafes, toilets and showers right behind it; a sunbed-and-umbrella set costs about ₺250-400 per day. A better alternative: on boat trips, wild dolphins are sometimes spotted in open water — a more ethical and far more unforgettable experience.

Dolmuş minibuses run frequently, but boarding with a stroller can be tricky at busy times — taxis are cheap enough for short hops. Water shoes help on the pebblier coves.
